Hey first blog, So yea i have lived in NY now for about 5-6 years cant remember ATM. I started out in LES then China Town then found my love in Brooklyn going from Williamsburg to where i can call home now Bushwick. Been here for the past 4 years.
For the past 4 months i found my self renting sublets at stupid prices like 750 a month and so on moving everything i owned in trash bags and my bed. But i lucked out and found a great opportunity to get a place near the L train in Bushwick with two roomies. Even tho i have the cash to get my own place im only paying 600$ a month for a decent room with great roomies.
My First roommate is Ian who interestingly enough has a ton in common with me even tho i didn't think we would.
I can smoke in my own house cigs and pot, and he is forcing me to try and up my alcohol tolerance even tho im stil a one tall boy drinking chump before i get drunk and turn all different colors of red in the face. But we can talk about video games, movies, the most nerdy things ever and its awesome.
My third roomie is a girl from Sweden who for whatever reason gets 0% Discount from ikea which i find is BS. She has only been i Nyc for 2 months and starting out in Bushwick she is doing better then spoon fed girls who make it to NYC and must have someone teach them everything and bring them everywhere. She even has a multipul jobs its insane how fast she got use to NYC and adapted. Ive met tons of people who move to NY for there first time and just fall flat on there face and end up moving back home. Im happy for her.
My Self yea im happy i got this apt with such cheap rent and close to the L. October is going to be amazing. Ive already accomplished the first thing on my TO DO OR DIE list which is getting a macbook.
