A Comet that has a perihelion outside of the Earth's Orbit is currently visible in the night sky in the constellation Taurus. It is very close to the Pleiades star cluster right now. It is headed in a northerly direction moving about a degree a day.
It has no where the brightness of Hale-Bopp or Hyakutake but it will be visible to the unaided eye for a few weeks. A pair of binoculars or small telescope would be best for viewing.
The Discoverers name is Machholz who has several other comets credited to him.
