Went to a burlesque show on Saturday night at the Bowery Poetry Club which was fun. They did an anti-Valentine day theme. One lady started out in formal wear and sripped down to her panties with the last piece being her evening gloves which was hiding a bloody gash of a suicide attempt. Then there was a skit of two women, one an angel, the other her mortal lover. They stripped to a heavy goth tune and the lover cutting off her angel's wing so they could be together in the mortal world. They also had a guy doing a burlesque. The skit actually had the audience laughing. He started with a body veil but as each piece came off, it revealed a bruise. Body veil revealed a broken arm, sunglasses covered a black eye, diapers covered a rather severe spanking and a bandage covered private parts. He ended his skit shooting his tormentor. One girl who was covered in tattoos wearing a bra and panty set did a fire eating show. Not exactly burlesque but it was pretty cool. It was an enjoyable show overall.
