I have to agree with CuriousTC. I've been in a similar spot before and dragged it out for another couple years, trying to "fix" it time and again.
I believe that relationships should be easy. Yes, you have to work to make them easy. But, its a negative return to spend more time working to make a relationship enjoyable than actually enjoying it.
That being said I think communication is key. The relationship worked at one point, what's changed. Often times we can't see for ourselves the patterns and things that we do.
