four rides, five flats. it has been a real lame week for myself and my bicycle. after the third i thought it might not just be me running stuff over. first was on the way to work sunday but i (luckily) made it to the store before it went out. my brother brought my pump up and i made it home. patched it. the next was monday, on my river legacy ride, i noticed it getting softer so i hurried home. patched it. next was riding around town, i was looking for/turning in applications and heard my tire get punctured and all the air rushing out. had to carry the bike a mile to the mall and a nice kid at dick's sporting goods let me fix it, on his table. rode off to bicycles inc. after that and had them put in a new tube, for me. rode to gen. x comics, by the time i made it there the new tube was going down. walked the bike home, about four miles. finally decided to run the rear tire through some water, to see where all the leaks were coming from. no less than five punctures, in the tire itself but only one leak, in the tube. cleaned out the punctures, in the tire, and patched up the tube. rode thirty-five today, tire/tube felt great but by the time i made it back home and sat down, for a while, it had gone flat again... pretty sure i cleaned out all the punctures, don't feel like messing with it again, to see if there is a new one, in the tube or the patch just came undone. think i should just get a new tire and tube. so frustrating. riding is supposed to help melt away all the things that bother me throughout my day not add to them.
still looking, for a new job, netflix interview didn't pan out. sounded like they needed someone that is used to being more in charge than i am. at the moment i don't really care what it is, i'm just wanting something that will give me fourty hours a week and pay me close to the same.
oh, and i killed my cellphone, on today's ride. had it in my pack, underneath my saddle. i guess that's not waterproof because all the water that was thrown up, from my rear tire, soaked it. it was a little cheap phone, but still, have to get a new one now.
