So.... I guess it's been like forever and a day since I've updated my journal. Guess I've been a bit of a slacker lately. I suppose the whole working 9 to 5 gig hasn't given me much excitement to write about.

Life is going well, although a bit on the dull side. Last night I went out with a co-worker and some of her friends...

So... the first week and a half of my new job has gone relatively smoothly. I've just gotten kind of thrown into things since the company was short-handed. But I haven't fucked up majorly yet so I guess I didn't need that much training.

I get my first bank holiday on Monday. I always thought that Colombus Day was a pointless holiday. But if it...

Thanks for accepting me, it's kind of surprising how few Wyo SG members there are. I'm friends with a gal on here that was born in Riverton, but she lives in Oregon now. Anyways, how's Casper treating you? It's not too bad of a town, I've never lived there but I've spent quite a bit of time there. Anyways, I hope you have a good weekend. Asta.

So, I landed myself a job today. smile I'm pretty happy about it because I hate job hunting with a passion. I'm going to be working as a member services rep at a federal credit union. Basically it's a teller position but I'll have some responsibility cross-selling products as well. I start training tomorrow. Should be fun. In the past I never really pictured myself working...

Welcome to SG Greece!

How goes it? Crooked Creek is up by Lovell Wyoming, at the foot of the Pryor mountains it's pretty country. My cloud pics were taken up above Tensleep though. Yeah I've lived all over this state (even Wamsutter for awhile) and I'm always finding some cool new place to go. Anyways, I just thought I'd drop you a quick line, it's good to know that there's another SG member in Wyoming, Have a good day.

Only eleven more days until the hockey season starts. I'm totally psyched for it. It's a good thing I at least have hockey to look forward to because other than that my life is really quite boring right now...

Today is such a sad day...

My favorite vibrator decided to die. frown It's an I Rub My Duckie Bondage Duckie. Actually, it was the first toy I ever got; my boyfriend bought it for me a while back. It's seen a lot of use so it doesn't suprise me that it died, but it just happened so suddenly that it makes me sad.

The worst...

Thanks for the compliment on Noir's set smile

I once had a remote control die on me...I changed channels by hand, but it just wasn't the same...

I was born in a town with a population of 500...moved to a bigger small town with a population of 5000, then to a city of about 292,000 for school, graduated, and moved to a city with a population of about 12 million for 2 years then came back and settled into a city with a population of 1.3M...Everyday I still think about that town of 500...

Not sure why I typed all that other than to say that it looks like you're trying to get out of a smaller town, and all I want to do is go back to one...wherever we can find happiness is the place to be I guess smile

My job interview at the bank totally kicked ass today. I felt pretty good about it. The interviewer responded positively to everything I had to say. I know that I could do this job well and hopefully they feel the same way. I should hear back from them on Monday and find out if they want me back for a second interview which would take...

So it looks like I got the job at the retail store as assistant manager. We're still in talks for salary and start date and whatnot, so nothing is set in stone yet. Plus, I've never actually said "Yes, I'll take the job" and they've never said "The job is yours." But they're getting back to me later this week with a salary offer so...

Thanks for the kind words on the set smile

Im currently in the retail environment (which the only thing I dont mind about it is that I work with stuff I like) but I think working with a bank would have so many more perks... like banking hours are pretty sweet wink

So right now I'm in the interview process for this nice job with a major retail store for the position of assistant store manager. Pretty sweet gig, seeing as how I'd get to be part of running a multi-million dollar business. They're in need of managers and got pretty excited since I have a college degree and management experience. The store manager all but offered...

Another day off of work. I sent in a couple of applications for teller positions around here. It seems like the only industries that are hiring around here and willing to offer benefits are banking and retail. Neither of which I'm crazy about but I don't quite despise them either so it looks like I'll give it a go.

Job hunting kind of sucks. I...

Don't give up yet, Don't depend too much on Job Service and don't settle for something you don't think you'll enjoy. If you know any business oweners go see them, if they don't have work they might know someone who does have work. Try not to get discouraged because Casper likes to think of it's self as on the move but in reality it's pertty much locked down. But most of all, good Luck in the job search. wink

You live in an absolutely gorgeous state, at least what I have seen of it! And I agree on the job hunting suckage...fortunately, haven't had to do it in a while...<<crossing fingers>> ARRR!!! biggrin ARRR!!!

So I get the next four days off work. Things are slow at the theater now that school has started back up. Of course that sucks because my pay check is going to shrink (not that it was big to begin with...). But at least now I have plenty of time to start looking for another job.

Just another day at work...

My parents finally went home today so I can actually get back to my own schedule instead of having to play chaperone. Hooray for that.

I think later tonight I'll go to the strip club with my boyfriend. Haven't been in a while and he just got paid... could be fun. On the other hand, I kind of want to...

Okay, so slowly I'm actually beginning to like my job. I think I just needed some time to adjust. I spent three years working at and managing a different theater in Wyoming (owned by the same company I work for now) where everything was super relaxed. But since Casper is company headquarters everything here is way strict, which is actually better because it is more...
