I'm back after a slight SG hiatus. The weekend has wrapped up and now it's almost time for bed. This weekend was productive...slightly. I have a new office set up in the bedroom and we got a new entertainment center for the living room. It's all Ikea stuff. We have a slight addiction to Malm, Expedit, and Kullen furniture in black/brown finish. Oh well, at least the whole house is looking consistent.
The big decision of the moment is whether I should go for my Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from University of Phoenix. There are several pros, but some cons as well. Some of the pros are things that go along with earning your doctorate...publishing, credibility, expanded job opportunities, etc. The cons include another 50k in student loans and eliminating my free time for the next 3.5 years. On one side, I don't have anything else going on my life right now besides derby, which I've sufficiently injured myself and frustrated myself to the point where I'm just about quitting. One the other side, I already owe about 52k in student loans and my hubby will owe about 75k when he finishes his masters. Yikes!
So, that's where I'm at right now and the doctorate adviser is calling next Thursday to see where I'm at in the decision making process.
