If you are young and educated then I think there are many opportunities other places. The jobs for young people in Italy is very bad. I know many young Italians with college degrees who have moved to the US recently to get a good job. The Italians that I know have either gone to the Liceo Scientifico or Liceo Classico and then University, and this seems to have given them a good solid educational background that is attractive to any employer.

Getting a job there is not impossibile but quite difficult in this period: the assumption is, first the Americans, than the others...!
