A couple of weeks ago I was in a coffee shop in Berlin with two girls and I was trying to tell one of the girls (let's call her WBB) about this book I had read. She's a very religious girl and the book I had read was a Anne Rice book called "Christ our Lord, Out of Egypt"
Now I'm not a very religious person but I loved the book....hell it almost made me want to start going to church!
I tried explaining this to WBB and the moment I mentioned that the book was fiction she raised her hand and told me "Nope don't want to hear it, the book is blasphemy"
I was a little upset that she didn't want to hear my explaination about the book, I mean what ever happened to having an open mind?
I can understand some religious people aren't very tolerate when it comes to hearing about their Messiah but this girl is a talkative person and likes to talk about different things.
It's been weighing on my mind for a couple of weeks......
Needless to say for a couple of seconds the mood at the table was pretty uncomfortable but I changed the subject and suggested that we go and see another sight in the city.
oh well......
