This week sucked. This horoscope really nailed it in there. Read this about an hour after getting laid off my job. Needless to say there are a lot of mixed feelings. A lot. Luckily I saw the end before it came, and had just gotten hired a few days earlier at another place, but training doesn't start til the 26th, and I won't be making tips until September. Have to make very little money spread over a long time right now.
Got banned from world of warcraft this week. Admittedly deserved, I was botting towards the end there, but it's a 7 year game stretch coming to an end. Met so many people. Dated people I met there, had a best friend pass away, so many memories there. It's weird having to think of it being gone. /nerd
My birthday was in between all this. I had to work. Went out to a bar with some friends afterwards. Was nice, minus my old coworkers girlfriend being a cunt the whole night, but I guess I won't be seeing her anymore now... But to have certain friends there, it felt good. Felt like the beginning of finally knowing who my friends are in Chicago. Makes this cloud of loneliness slowly start to fade away.
The new restaurant I'll be working at is a much different style than my previous jobs. It seems lucrative, though. And really as long as the money is there I don't really care much else about the finer details of the restaurant. I just need some stability again.
Two weeks til North Coast Festival. I'm only going on Saturday to see Girl Talk and Atmosphere. Freaking stoked. Also going by myself to a full day concert. I'll either get stoned and meet some awesome people to hang out with, or I'll get stoned and have an awesome time dancing to music all day by myself.
Final exam for my sommelier certification is on the 27th. Having a mild heart attack. I could study every minute of every day between now and then and still not feel prepared. I wish I had the money to spend on drinking wine gratuitously between now and then.
Ummm, yeah that's all I got.
