About half way through the game and for some reason there doesn't seem like there's much left to do.
I like that the Banuk notice that I have Aloy wearing Banuk armor because, again, it shows attention to detail. It's funny because like Destiny most of the armor doesn't do much to protect her from harm. And ironically the armor is supposed to have good protection from Corruption. Similar to Destiny's SIVA except that unlike Destiny that corruption doesn't seem to be affecting much of the world at all.
Spoilers but humans seem to be killing more humans than crazy machines are killing humans.
The irony comes from the Banuk having armor that's great for protecting them against corruption.. when there's no corrupted machines near them. So wearing the armor in their territory would be pointless other than having them talk about a hapless ignorant foreigner entering their lands wearing a Shaman's garb.
The world got smaller but the same cultural and political divisions remain. It really is one of the things I didn't care for and haven't warmed up to at all.
Bungie has announced that the old raids and some activities will be upgrades again. I woke up 20 minutes into it and didn't feel like I missed anything. There's nothing to say other then only some of your years of effort will be recognized in the book for starters. You'll need to play and play and play and play some more to unlock the rest. Ultimately you can buy a T-Shirt if you complete everything.
My only reaction, after years playing the game on Xbox and PlayStation to get 6 characters maxed out.. is that I don't care.
The things I care about were the people. They came and went.
The things in the game that I cared about.. the game being fun to play.. was beaten like a dead horse with every DLC, patch and update. Most of what was year 1 Destiny was patched out.. most of the weapons that mattered.. became obsolete. Queen's Wrath is still lost to history. The event itself didn't matter but the concept of PvE events is what I cared about.
PvE events like SRL.. which came back after a year.. only to have half baked.
All Bungie seemed to be doing was adding more reasons for people to buy stupidities which have no value as they don't carry over. I'm given to understand people pay money to have other people rank them up in PvP. Or to obtain stupidities like Outbreak Prime.
I don't get it. Make the game so dumb and tedious that people will pay other people to play it for them?
Bungie insists on making completion of the new event book require participation in Trials which I don't care for.
AND they insist on giving out all kinds of new stuff. So what?
The only Triumph would be seeing anyone rejoining Destiny to complete the book. Once they do I'm wondering how Bungie will profit from it.. what new Silver dust bullshit will people sink money into?
There's no point in offering people anything new to collect as though that's some kind of incentive while the vault inventory space hasn't changed.
I have had this ongoing battle with lack of vault space for years. Every event is hang on guys I have to go to the tower to do inventory. Inventory management takes more time than playing the game. I don't understand and with this announcement I finally don't care anymore. It comes after they said that nothing carries over to the next game.
They insist that it's ok because Destiny 1 will still be there. So you can keep on keeping on with it until you think you're done. I don't know about anyone else but I've been done with this game for a very long time.
