So, I worked at The Alaskan Bush Company in Phoenix last night. I have to say: I am so fucking disappointed in that place. It's a pretty big place, nice space, big stages, semi-comfortable seating. I was given this big list of rules when they hired me, all which was pretty standard and I worked last night and saw EVERY rule broken all night long.
I saw girls in the bathroom shooting smack in the handicap stall. (Not an exaggeration) Other girls snorting I-don't-even-know-what, girls flashing their puss on the topless side where I work, grinding on laps (against the law), girls with their crotches in customers faces, spread eagle, for a crappy 10 dollar table dance, girls that should not be working in clubs like that (I.E. slovenly), a guy jacking off at a table by the dressing room door, and all manner of other nasty stuff.
I was told this was a very good place to work. Apparently, I've been lied too. However, I'm kind of stuck at this place right now as I have a ton of bills that are due and haven't been able to make enough money to pay even one of them in the last month. I guess there is no money in Arizona in the summer, which I wish I would have know BEFORE I came here. I would have saved every cent I made when I first got here and just left instead of paying to stay here.
I'm in that rotten head space where I'm pretty sure the whole f'n world is against me right now and it sucks. I haven't had enough time in the last couple of days to even practice or get anything sketched. I worked 10 hours a day and haven't managed to make 60 dollars yet. I did, however, pay out about 80 just to work.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrr

My God. I'm really gonna have to start reading your blogs before I begin any rants about how shitty my work situation is. I'm broke because I can't find work. You're broke and you work your ass off. And that's far worse...

Maybe a career change is in order. You've had serious trouble finding a decent club. It pains me to hear your struggles, my wish is for you too find something that pays you a living wage!
