What's the best way to start a trip to the Emerald City (aka Seattle) ?



Perhaps a sparkling lemonade? Yes.



And some comics for travel reading and good measure. I'd recommend Mister X - psychedelic covers and great art deco drawings inside.

After being picked up in Port Angeles by the gentlemanly Trevallion we barrled our way to Seattle to a soundtrack of punk rock and Johnny Cash. His car is practically a portable comics store - one that also sells plenty of socks.

After a boat ride trading Mitch Hedberg jokes and sailing stories.. with a killer view of the city, we went back to his place, met up with Luminaire, FallfromGrace, and some other kids for dinner at some tasty diner.



Oh yeah.. Freckle and Aperock were there too.

I also had a tasty milkshake.



I've met a lot of SGs.. but Sydni's definitely the tallest. And incredibly cool. And makes the best duck face.

Then we went to Shorty's for beer and pinball action. Such sweet tables. Sydni got hit on by this crazy dude who tried to put on a very tiny woman's jacket while very drunk.



After watching tons of Mr. Show with FallFromGrace and eating lots of Trevallion-brand pancakes and bacon. (mmm bacon!) we went to Archie McPhee's, which is like how I'd imagine a store would look like if run by Delirium from Neil Gaiman's Sandman comics. Like raster burn provided my the real world. So many colours/items hurt my brain. Though I might end up buying their rad sushi rug.





Trevallion is a total sock ninja. Sydni could only defend herself with a designer shoe.

But I armed her. Note the Super Troopers on the tv. I broke my Super Trooper cherry with the Seattle crew. As it should be.



But despite their deadly battles these kids know how to work it.



I wanted a picture of Sydni dancing.. but instead this one looks like... ummm...



The hottest licking picture since that one Unravled took of Handle and I at Prom last year.



SGSeattle likes to karaoke and its girls just wanna have fun. My own karaoke was pretty weak this time.. it's weird to sing when people aren't dancing. But my version of "White Wedding" was acceptably rad. Sydni has killer pipes. I want to steal her so she can join my band in Montreal.

Oh Freckle.. so mysterious..



Truly a match made in metal heaven.



Seattle's most punk rock breakfast location?



They had a nice reuben, perfect for making dirty reuben love.

I was my apartment was so cooly decorated..



Because I'm a jackass that can't read a ferry schedule we took a pointless trip to Port Angeles and back.. I stayed another night.. but I get to see that ol' wounded grizzly bear of MisterSatan not-so-fresh from surgery and who ate steak, smoked, and growled about fools. I wouldn't want that son-of-a-bitch any other way.

I had this chocolate chicken torte. (don't ask, I won't tell)

All in all - fun was had. Now I'm back home and trying to figure out what this move is going to entail...
