I just signed the lease for an apartment for next year! I'm so excited to move out the place I'm at now and get away from my crazy landlord.
So when my friends and I went to sign the lease with our soon-to-be landlord we noticed that she had several really interesting floral prints on her wall. We asked what they were and she says, "Oh, Andy Warhol gave those to me when I lived in New York. I actually have a bunch of his soup cans too, but they don't match anything- so I keep them in storage." Craziness.
Also. 'The Shunned Country' by Bob Drake is getting a lot of time in my CD player at the moment. I'm not really sure how to describe it. A soundtrack for avant-garde ghost stories?
In addition. There's a power-pop band from the New Haven area called Superfallingstars that I've seen a couple of times at Bar and Rudy's. They're apparently searching for a bass player (as I discovered on the new New Haven craigslist) and I'm thinking about auditioning. Unfortunately, their current bass player is very good, whereas I'm pretty rusty and I'd probably be a bad bandmate right now with school and all. I might send them an e-mail just for the hell of it.
On more thing. The weather is beautiful right now- I should really be reading in the park instead of updating my journal.

Unfortunately they didn't play 0+2=1, the only song they played off of that album was The Fall, which is still an amazing one
