Alright I haven't written something in almost a year. Sorry. I'm sure I disappointed all three of you who ever read these. Let me fill you in on what's going on with me. About one year ago I started working at my college paper as a classifieds ad representative. The lowest of the low. I am now the General Manager for some strange bizarre twist.

Also I'm working with the YMCA as an admin. asst. in a capital campaign. They let me coach basketball (I don't know why since I never played it really) K-2 grade. One day i was making the little bastards run drills and this one boy in kindergarten who can hardly pick up a ball runs up to me with his blond hair, blue eyes, little lisp who I believe embodies Americana more than old glory. Seriously this kid made you think mom and apple pie were red commie spies. So this kid looks up at me barely holding the ball in both his arms and in the cutest tone says "Coach...can I get some water?"...

I was stunned...

So i went to a Streetlight Manifesto, Less Than Jake, and Reel Big Fish show in Tempe, Arizona last night.

It really brought back memories of my early high school years when all i listened to was Ska.

Amazing show and my body is sore as hell.

Well i got back from NCLR Miami yesterday.

Besides working the Operation Lifesaver, Inc. booth and trying to do some outreach to the Hispanic community about safety on railroad tracks, it was pretty fun.

First day i was there Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama spoke on their respective ends of the Miami convention center. After consuming the free food and watching everyone suck Hillary's big fat dick as she walked by, I figured it was time for me an my sister to grab some Mojitos. We went down Espanola wayand hit up Tapas & Tintos doing the whole tourist thing. Good food and good drinks...no complaints here.

Later that night we went to Mango's which was suppose to be a fairly good bar. I hate to say it let me down a little.

I always grew up being disappointed in my favorite bands selling out.

Today I have been disappointed on a whole new level.

It wasn't a band this time though. It was my favorite Mexican food place. They use to have their only location in an old building right next to the neighborhood i grew up in as a child. Some people might have considered that part of town "el barrio" but that never stopped them from getting good business. They had such a welcoming atmosphere. I knew most of the waitress by name being that it was a small family ran business. A picture of my baseball team they sponsored when i was 10 hung on the wall for crying out loud.

What did they do to piss me off? Move out of el barrio, lower their standards on taste, and appeal to white people with stereotype-ass uniforms. Some guy named Ted Ive never seen before was my waiter at the new place. I don't want Ted...I want Abuelita who gave me money for candy around Christmas time. I want Rigoberto who served me a beer on my 16th birthday. I want Lupita who also owned the hair salon my mom went to.

FUCK YOU TED.

July 20-24 i will be in Miami for NCLR (The National Council of La Raza).

Yay for being half Mexican.

i went to a party last night wearing and SG shirt and so many people knew what it was. i didnt expect that in a small town.

Hello anyone who sees this. I uploaded most of my B&W that im not ashamed of. I know it's nothing like the photography on this site, but hey thats why im here. To learn. I'll be taking more pictures when i get a digital slr.

Well it's not like I have many friends that will see any of this, but oh well it's too late and i'm too bored. I figure I'd post a few pics of how i spent my afternoon.






So i guess Arizona isn't that bad.

I am here for the photography and to get some insight on other artists styles...maybe get some different ideas.
