Well first of all, I don't consider him "my candidate" but "a candidate" and I have chosen to vote for him, not only because most of his ideals fall within the same ideals as mine, but because I think he genuinely wants to change this nation. He isn't a political pawn who is being moved by his endorsers to make decisions but is a candidate who is sincere in his convictions and it's the first time in my life I have seen a presidential candidate this passionate & genuine.
On top of those reasons, I would be devastated if a candidate with such a sullied, tainted, and selfish background such as McCain and Palin were placed in office. My biggest concern, as with most other Democrats or Obama supporters I have spoken with, is that the possibility of Palin becoming president is VERY real and she is highly under-qualified, a ploy to attract male swing-voters & women who only want to vote for a woman regardless of her political policies. She claims to be a feminist, but would insist on having her own child give birth to a child created through rape or incest. She thinks that global warming isn't the result of human indifference, that nuclear power is the way to go, that books containing controversial topics should be banned, that church SHOULD be mixed with state & she knows very little about our nations policies or foreign affairs.
Honestly, I could go on and on about the reasons why I have chosen a candidate, but it is my STRONG opinion that everyone should educate themselves without outside influence or tainted opinions.
Here is a video of the 3rd presidential debate (if you haven't already seen it) and from there you can find the 1st, 2nd, and VP debates. Watch them, read up on each candidates history & past and decide for yourself. This really IS the most important election this nation will ever see & I honestly think that every single person in this nation should have a say, regardless of whether or not that say is the same as mine.
