hmm, why does itunes think that Last Caress is Return of the Fly? that is annoying. . . oh well, will kill itunes later. . .
so, i can honestly say that i am sick and tired of people pushing ideas and theories at me, especially when all they are trying to do is justify to themselves whatever they have decided to believe in. at the bar on thursday, this guy starts giving me shit for my minor threat and descendants pins, saying how he grew up with all that and he did the "punk" thing. i love how they say punk too, you can practically feel the quotation marks slipping around the word. anyhow, we had all just got to the bar and i didn't want to start anything so i sit there for almost ten minutes listening to how all those bands were great and all, but how they sold out and really thats what you should do too because its so much more effective to "fuck up the system" from the inside, yada yada, blah blah blah. . .
i just don't care. i do not care. if that is how his life ended up and that is what he wants to get out of it, thats fine. its not about selling out, its not about being true to an ideal, and it sure as shit not about getting the younger generation to follow suit. everyone makes their own way, their own decisions, and just because something went down in history as a failure is no reason to reject the idea. oh well. . .
on a side note i saw Jarhead today. Full Metal Jacket was better, but i think that is because vietnam, as wars go, was way more badass than operation desert storm. but in the words of my friend, "it is the only movie i have seen where i have felt sympathy for the characters over the fact that they aren't allowed to murder someone." it wasn't Kubrick, but it was still pretty good.
i have a lot of nervous, manic, strange energy lately that is comming out of nowhere that i don't know what to do with.
what is playing on my computer as i write this-
Last Caress - Misfits
The Apollo Programme Was a Hoaxz - Refused
Mount the Skies - Zegota
Walk Together, Rock Together - 7 Seconds

Full Metal Jacket is a good movie, it was rather sad when that guy blew his brains out in the bathroom. I haven't seen Jarhead yet I don't know if I will or not. I don't know why random people just have to tell others what they think, like we care. I wouldn't go up to some random person eating meet and say something like " do you know what they do to those animals?" .
