WARNING: Don't Read If You Are A Stupid Redneck Right-Wing Christian
That said, today I got home from work (I work nights) and was accosted by my neighbor. I don't think I have ever said more than hello to this man. Today, however, he decided to let me know that he didn't appreciate my "Jew loving" ways. He informed me that when Jesus returns or whatever I am going to hell to suffer for an eternity. To fill the back-story in for youI am a bit of a world traveler and acquired a menorah from a Jewish friend in Israel. During the holidays I had it displayed in my window. It is a beautiful piece with a Star of David just under the center candle. Anyway, this neighbor claimed that he debated telling me to take it down all through the holidays and he say's he even "prayed" on it. This is the kicker peoplefinally he went to his pastor last week and asked for advice. His pastor told him that it is a pagan symbol and that he had every right to ask me to take it down and never to display it again. His pastor also told him both God and I would reward him for helping to "save" me. This went on for several minutes with this man telling me about the Jews killing Jesus and boatloads of other nonsense. I am a tolerant man but I could tolerate no more. I told the man it was a free country, asked him to leave, and put my menorah back in the window. I don't understand why all religions can't teach love and tolerance. I think whatever God or Gods people would appreciate that more than anything else. Sorry, I know that was kind of heavy but I really wanted to vent.

Not only is he a moron but his pastor is a moron as well. I went to his church this afternoon to speak to the pastor. I thought maybe the guy had been confused...nope his pastor echoed exactly what the guy said. As I left his office the last thing he said to me was that he'd pray for my soul on the day of judgement which is coming soon.
