Why Love is Like Money.
It's simple really, you buy a house or a car today for x amount of money, and it depreciates in value over time. So does love. Love is a market commodity, like money, or any purchase, it is subject to the whims of the market. Love today can be meaningless tomorrow, much like the $200,000 house will sell for $40,000 in a few short years. This love someone feels for you today may give way to a market force to ignore you tomorrow- a better offer if you will. Henry Miller was right in many ways. We are in The Land of Fuck.
