I finally got to an SGSF open-event last night. It was cool to meet everyone and have a few drinks. After that it was off to see the Red Elvises play at Cafe Dunbar. Of course, jackass that I am, I took out the memory card out of my camera when I stopped at home to free up some space and didn't grab it on the way out (yes... yes... multiple cards... blah blah blah. Pro-speed 1 GB cards are expensive, and one is usually all I need.) So no pictures of the Red Elvises. I need to get a speedlight anyway for these indoor-bar-club shoots.
Today I'm off to see an exhibit by Gottfried Helnwein. For me, looking at his work is like a look inside the Rube-Goldberg device that powers my brain. It's at Modernism (685 Market St.) and is free, so if you're in SF, I recommend stopping in. Today is the last day of the exhibit, and it would be a shame to miss this guys work.
