Holyshat! I still cannot believe I got to go to Riotfest in Chicago! First band I got to see was The Vandals and just as I was walking (running😹) up to the stage they started playing the mullet song. Fanfuckingtastic! Was so glad I wore my lady mullet that day👍 They also did an AMAZING cover of Queen's "Can't stop me" song, definitely one of the most entertaining performances I seen all weekend (although I missed out on Friday's shows, boo) This was my first musical festival as I reside in Alaska you might say I "don't get out much".😜 Although I was not thrilled to see Morrisey (my bestie was all 'bout it 'bout it) I had a real good laugh throughout his performance.
The weekend was overall an incredibly memorable experience for me for a lot of reasons but since I don't feel like typing a fucking memoir I'd just like to say how FUCKING EXCITED I was to be able to see my teenage super crush Rob Zombie perform a White Zombie (my favorite band) set!!! To be honest, I cried my face off and almost wished I wore panties so I could throw them on stage.💩 After his set, the original Misfits, Glenn Danzig, Jerry Only and Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein played. I really shit myself over this one and was super lucky to find my galpal in a crowd of 50,000 ghouls so we could sing every word to every song together.💚👹💜👹
I can't fully express how much fun I had experiencing a music festival for the first time and being able to see bands I've loved sunce I was, like, 13 years old.😹 Definitely looking forward to planning for another festival!
Hope everyone has had a fantastic summer🌞
