tl;dr
Ok so I got into an argument with a friend, and this is what I couldn't say, be it a stupid tongue, or no room to edge in (strong personalities--both of us--her moreso). In no way am I hostile, I just like writing in rant form, or ranting in write form, whatever.
I believe her point is that I can't just SAY I'm an inventor, I can't SAY "Hey, I'm an artist now," without lowering the bar of personal accomplishment (and art) to the level of mootness. I am sympathetic to the premise, HOWEVER I'm not just trying to sound cool or glaze over the fact that I'm unemployed (disabled). What I am trying to do is promote a different way of thinking about the world--it's a GD philosophy!
And while any philosophy writ is a philosophy wrong, do not claim supremacy over another's lest you come off like a dumbfuck (I still GD hate organized religion, however).
The philosophy isn't exactly original, but hey--what is?--am I right all you existentialist it's-all-been-said-just-kill-me-now peeps? The philosophy is an evolution of The Dichotomy: If given a choice between two doors, which do you go through? Neither is inherently bad, but the potential for ANYTHING rests beyond. Or between I should say. Now picture these doors as the divided halves of the YinYang, intrinsic opposites, they have a magnetism to each other, or between each other I should say. This is existence: 2. 0 and 1 are two separate entities, and while they don't add up to two, existing as opposites necessarily creates this third force, what I have labeled in binary speak as the nonexistent 2. Nonexistent until pow--perception comes along. If a trees falls in a forest... yes, the universe would exist without being perceived, but how do we know this as true? Of course it's true, when mama covers her face she doesn't cease to exist because stupid baby can't understand what isn't blatantly obvious, HOWEVER, my philosophy is constructed on the notion that there is no right or wrong beyond perception. Sure there are acts that are horrendous and people have vivid imaginations for inventing more and more of these, but on a scale with galactic matter, what goes on in an anthill is value neutral. With that said, I'm no sociopath. I believe humans are capable of great beauty, and I choose to see great beauty in everything. EVERYTHING. I live five blocks from homeless central US. And boy do the crazies come out at night. Beautiful, beautiful nut-jobs. It is important to see beauty in everything, because if you choose either of the doors the other door will cease to exist as well as the energy between the two and so the universe becomes truly monochrome, utterly devoid of potential. We must accept what is--stop trying to change people and things to fit YOUR understanding of best.
In comes the hypocrisy: I call this The French Paradox: Off with their heads! And then the people revolt, chop off the king's head, and promptly sit in his chair. If a person desires to create change they MUST be willing to make the ultimate sacrifice. I want to destroy celebrity; I know that in the process fame is unavoidable. This is when I must die. Let me clarify: "dismantle celebrity" is better phrasing, as I want to promote the idea that EVERYONE IS AN ARTIST and EVERYONE IS CAPABLE OF BEAUTY, and then give everyone the ability to perform their art thus flooding the market with so much that a new meritocracy arises, completing the cycle but with The People on top.
Perhaps I should explain. Dismantling celebrity is just the icing on the cake. As Major Motoko Kusinagi once said, "The net is vast and infinite." A bit redundant but I blame translation from Japanese. In any case, I think a new world government can be created with a network that hides nothing and allows full access to anyone who want to be a citizen of this NWO. A government without a head, a government of people, ALL people, no secrets. Oh and a similarly designed banking structure giving all citizens access to whatever they need.. I'm talking money. But what becomes of money when everyone is rich? Exactly. Tear down the pyramid, it's a slave revolt! I do not use the terms "slave" and "revolt" loosely. People are so much better than we allow ourselves to believe. Things must change. I love my country for taking care of me in my time of need, and in repayment I have decided to devote my life to fixing the flubs (my hypocrisy).
All things are cyclical, including this rant, so let's get back to me. I'm a writer by trade (yet to sell a word), but have aspirations to invent. Not like Tesla, like Edison (ironical). An asshole with patent madness, I should be a millionaire peddling my crap in no time--I invent useless crap, btw. As I like living simply and prefer the out of doors, all my money will go to helping--whomever I fucking feel like. I have a step by step process to begin this whole escapade, so join me for fun Now my friend thinks that I'm jumping the gun when I say "I invent things" and that "It's Art" but I feel that is the mentality of the ancestors.
We must Manifest Reality. See the future in the present, see the present in the past, etc. Everything is connected, and if I can see myself taking these steps, then fuck, I'm already a GD writer/inventor/revolutionary. Manifesting Reality--keep your ears open my imaginary readers.
And the cricket says:
