i have a new found and intense affinity for indie covers of rapping radness. i must admit, i find something about a distinctly feminine voice spouting these texts to be a particularly delicious contrast.

check out two of my favorites:

Martin de Thurah has released a set of short films for the Danish Pavilion meant to reflect the spirit and culture of Denmark by pointing out key parts of their culture.

All I know is that I can't stop watching these mesmerizing, tiny masterpieces. If you know what's good for you, you'll take some time to indulge in a bit of detailed, emotional beauty.

I'm wasting time, sitting in Starbucks, waiting for the evening's plans to commence.

This leads me to ponder patience...

I find that my heavily organized and regulated schedule (yes, I'm typing this on one of two BlackBerries) is continuously being foiled by the inconsistent punctuality of others. I would consider myself to be an impatient person, regularly declaring that it is one virtue with out...

Self awareness is a lost art........I find that if I see no flaws OR only see flaws then maybe it is time to take a step back and get other people's insight into who you are perceived. If I can find the good and bad in me or my recent decisions/ actions then I am at least on my way in the right direction.

Hope you are doing well Showtime!

dear mid-october,

i'm confused as to why you believe me to have mistaken you for july. you are more than aware of my ill feelings towards the sweltering months and i clearly expressed your arrival as a welcome occurrence. please let me know if there is anything i can do to clear up this misunderstanding.

cheers,

Dear ifyoushowmeyours,

July, being one of the months in the middle of the year, is clearly one of self reflection. It's temporal status allows one to analyze the former half of the year in order to make necessary changes to perfect the latter half. As a member of the latter half, your habits during my time are set in stone, allowing little opportunity for alteration. Stick with it until January.

Lots of love,
Mid-October.
