Ok, here is the first chapter of what im working on. These will be short chapters I think.
Chapter 1
He parked the car, a run down Chevy that he had picked up for very little cash, and nudged the girl awake. She stretched and looked at him. There was a red mark across her cheek where she had rested against the seat belt. "Are we there?" she asked. "Or can I go back to sleep?"
"We're here. You can nap in the room if you want" he answered.
She opened the door and stepped out into the vacant motel parking lot. Her leg had gone numb from sitting on it and she carefully walked around to the back of the car, doing her best to avoid that pins and needles feeling. The third cheap motel in four days, she was kind of getting sick of them. She wanted to stay in a nice hotel, just once. They had the money; she just didn't understand his reasoning.
He grabbed the two bags that they had and carried them into the room. It was nothing special, just a television, a bed, a dresser, a chair and a nightstand. The bags were tossed on the floor and he quickly made his way to the air conditioning unit on the wall, cranking it down to near freezing. The Texas heat was just too much for him. He kicked off his shoes, tossed his t-shirt and stretched out on the bed. Twelve hours in a car with no AC and the blinding Texas sun in his eyes, he was done.
She followed in behind him, closing the door and kicking off her shoes as well. She crawled onto the bed next him, curling up against him and resting her head on his chest. He promptly pushed her off of him, her matted hair sticking to his sweaty flesh. "Come on now, its too hot for that!"
"What the fuck, Damien?! I just wanted some damn intimacy after another day spent in that god forsaken car!" She sat in the chair, turned on the television and began to pout like a four year old. After a few more minutes of huffing and puffing, she again spoke. "I knew I shouldn't have come along with you. What the hell are we even doing?"
Damien rolled over to his side in an attempt block her out. "I told you, I'm looking for someone."
"Yeah, you've said that, like lots of times, but who? Who are we looking for?"
There had been plenty of girls in plenty of cities and never once had he thought about taking one along with him. She was hitchhiking off some interstate in Louisiana and he guessed he had felt sorry for her or maybe he just wanted some company, but he picked her up anyways. She wasn't going anywhere in particular and suited him just fine at the time, even if she was a little young for him. At least she was legal.
"If you don't tell me what who we are looking for then I am so out of here!" she said with a deep tone.
If it had been a day or two ago, he really wouldn't of cared if she had left, but since then he had finally come up with a plan. The truth was that he really didn't know who he was looking for and he was going to need her if he was going to draw out this mystery person. He sat up on the bed and looked at her. "Do you really want to know?"
"I wouldn't have asked if I didn't want to know."
He looked directly at her, his grey eyes piercing her blues from across the room. "What if I told you that I had killed someone?"
"Yeah? I don't guess it would bother me that much. If you were going to kill me you probably would have done it already. Besides, I've been on my own since I was fourteen, I've know lots of guys that have killed someone."
"What if I said I have killed lots of people?"
"Why would you have killed lots of people?" she rolled her eyes.
He was surprised that she was remaining so calm. She probably didn't believe him. "When I was younger, I was taken away and some doctors performed tests on me, tortured me, even let one of my only friends die for the sake of a discovery."
She was intrigued now and she sat up to pay attention, her straight brown hair falling in front of her face. "Why were they doing tests on you?"
He stood up and walked towards her. With a raise of his hands, every object around them began to levitate. "Because I can do this."

Awesomeness! You have this way of writing where you slowly build up and then almost reach the peak but then back off just enough to leave me wanting more right now.
