Unfortunately, I have to drive back to school within the hour. So this....is....goinggg...to be short.
Today, we got two bands on the chopping block.
First off, is a collaboration that I've been excited for since I heard about it. Why? Because the bands in question, are quite exquisite: Daft Punk and N.E.R.D.
This shit should be bananas, based off the bands involved, at least, but I have to be true: It falls flat. It seems like this song was buried by prince and the excavated by these guys and they just slapped their names on it.
However, I will admit, that this song probably has the power to undress women. Put this on a mix tape with Sade's Smooth Operator and some Chris Isaak and it will be on, on like donkey kong.
Listen to that shit! Doesn't it seem like Pharell was possessed by Prince's ghost??? Come on!
Anybody think that hip-hop, in general, has hit a mid-life crises? Seriously, Drake?
Second band: Empire of the Sun, get your hands on their debut Walking on a Dream, fast motherfucker!
This music is addictive as krispy kreme donuts and totally inspired by the wave started by MGMT, if you like them this one's a no brainer.
If you want to be happy, listen:
Love those outfits.
