Hello!
Felling good. I went to a great reggae show last night and saw my friends' band play. I grew up with these twin brothers, the ones in the band. I saw their sister and mom for the first time in about 14 years. We all grew up in a trailer park together with a bunch of others kids, including my best friend.
It was funny growing up in a trailer park because you inevitably get some teasing for it in school. (Only when you were by yourself. We never got teased when we were hanging out together). Anyways, we never really fired back at anyone. We would simply invite them over to hang out at our trailer park after school. We'd play football, baseball and basketball in the grassy area and courts in the center of the park. We'd swim in one of the two pools and sit in the hot tub. Speed on bicycles through the park's crazy system of walking paths. Or get some cardboard and slide down the dry grass along the creek. Almost every time, the next day at school, the person would say "Hey! Can I come over after school again today? That place you guys live at is pretty cool!"
So, last night I decided to get a reunion together of people who grew up in our trailer park. Next summer. Need time to find people.
Tomorrow I have to work for the first Saturday in a long time. Bummed that I'll be missing a great river trip with my friend Tori, who's in town from San Jose, but I won't mind it on payday.
Going to go see my friend Julie's 80's band, 8th Grader, in Sebastopol tomorrow night. They're an awsome and fun band. The frontman describes it as if Madonna, George Micheal and Prince went out one night, got ruffied and had a baby, that baby would be 8th Grader. They rock. I think they're on iTunes. I would recommend checking them out if you like 80's stuff.
I personally, still haven't been able to stop listening to Bob Dylan.
Cheers to life! It's great!
Hank.
