the things that have happened since may9th are as follows:
work
slipknot gig - waited 2 and a half hours in the queue, missed the support band because they decided the people who had credit card pre-orders were scum and everyone else was more important and therefore should go in first. anyway, slipknot were great, chances are i'll never get to see them in a venue that small again. i fucking hate big arena shows, the sound quality is shit, u cant see the band or anything and there's too many people. same with festivals, but i still go to festivals because u get so see loads of bands in a short space of time, which is good. didnt go to download though
the reason why is kinda fucked up. the main reason was because i was going to see bill bailey tomorrow, and partly because i didn't want to drive to donnington by myself. but now i'm not going to bill bailey because i bought tickets for this kevin smith q&a thing in london tomorrow, which should be good. going to see bill baily in london instead in a few weeks. hmm... kinda drifted from the point.
balzac gig - pretty good, the support bands (fireapple red and the foamers) were great. never heard of balzac before this gig and they were pretty good, had cool cheesy skeleton costumes.
hedroom gig - last night, was ok, not that great. after the gig i went to a friends house, watched movies all night, then got home at about 5am, overall, and enjoyable evening.
...and that cocludes this chapter in 'The Adventures of Gareth'
actually it doesnt, i should probably mention my new life plan to travel around the uk to as many places with amusing names as i can. there's already 'waterloo', 'egham', 'staines' and 'reading' on the train line to work. all i need to do is take someone with me to take a photo of me next to the signs.
ok. this time i've really finished writing.
