So, something happened this past week and a half or so that I have not ever really thought would happen. I started listening to some of the music that I had listened to back in the day when I was considered a "Crusty Punk" or a "Gutter Punk"... bands ranging from The Short Bus Kids, The Devil is Electric, This Bike is a Pipebomb, The Sissies, to more main stream punk like the Causalities, H2O, Bad Religion, etc. and it reminded me of the old house that I used to live at in the old 1990s - early 2000s, and then I found some old photos that I took from one of the parties that we held at the house. Now this was a smaller party, but we always had a band that was on tour playing there, usually a band from Plan-it-X Records. These were some of the most amazing times of my life. Here are some of the photos that I found.
Now I remind you that these are scanned in from old negatives/photos, and I have not digitally edited these at all, so sorry for the quality.
The reason why I bring all of this up is because it reminded me what it was like to be happy with photography, to think of it as not a job (like it is with soccer photos) but to sit back and take it easy, relax, and the photos will come. I think that is what I have been able to do with the images of Sam and the reason why my peers and teachers at SCAD like them so much (look blog update before this to see those image)...it has been amazing and refreshing. I have really enjoyed the walk down memory lane and I think that I will have to do this every once in a while and see what happens.
