So this was another interesting question from that questionnaire.
Who was the best teacher you've ever had?
Ellie said: "So easy...Mrs. Hunter. No doubt!!!!! She was the BEST. I always wanted her to be my guardian. When I was in fourth grade I brought her flowers almost every day. She taught me more things about who I was specifically as a small human than any...

I don't remember any of my teachers with quite the same enthusiasm. tongue I always liked the ones who recognized my strengths and interests and could engage me with them. I think I liked Mr. Fisher in high school the most. But, the number of teachers I liked far outnumbers the ones I didn't.

So today I filled out some bullshit questionnaire that was kinda lame and fun at the same time. Some questions were more interesting than others. Though many of the more superb questions are sticking out in my mind, I am choosing this one:

If you could become any fictional character, who would you be?
Ellie said: "Easy....I'd be Lara Croft. She's super freaking well educated...She...

I wrote this today after contemplating writing it for a long, long time. I could probably add more shit to it......

You know you are from Portland when your friends *MAKE* your cats Christmas gifts.
You know your from Portland when you ask your friend, if she stuffed that awesome cat toy with natural or organic catnip and you are worried about it.
You know...

Great to see an update. So are you just doing them once a year now? tongue

Many of those Portland things seem to be true, though it depends on where you live and how social you are. I have no experience with any of them, but I recognize them.

Hope you've been well. smile
legman:
"You may also be from Portland if you would rather fire your therapist and wait the mandatory, NO CONTACT two years to be real life friends with her."  funny, I've been trying to track down my ex-therapist!

Now somehow- All my faves are missing. I added yoyo the other day and lost all the rest? So I go to add some of the girls back. I can't because they are archived. Hel, Voltair, Nala, Aries, Flux, yadda yadda yadda.
I'm thinking Al, Sinove and Mary are the only faves that are active. WTF? How did I completely wipe my whole faves in...

I'm making a binder with really cool dividers for Ari. It's amazing. It's for her digital photography class.

Gave Sean money for his beer making adventures with his friend Augie. He's going to go get all his equipment on the 21st.

Not a lot going on over here. Been doing a lot of karaoke at a friends house. Dogged her today because Cal was sick...

I kind of wish I had learned to ice skate, because I would like to play hockey. One of the guys with whom I work is in an old guys league. But, I don't really want to risk broken bones at this point in my life.

I bookmarked that recipe site. Thanks. I'll check it out when I have more time.

Hola~ Learning Self-Defense are we? That's pretty interesting. I always said that the way to a man's heart is a forward snap kick to the face from a pretty lady... But I digress. Just wanted to thank you for stopping by and checking in with me. It's always good to know that you can make true and lasting connections out here in the digital world. I'll make the effort to scare up a few more laughs from you and your hubby. biggrin

I checked out the Firefly website and it says you can buy it in Oregon at Youngs Market. It's divine...the original tastes exactly like Southern sweet tea, and it's infused with tea, not artificially flavored. Just add a little water and ice, and yum.

I was a garden gnome smile Handmade the whole thing, even the beard (minus the shirt and pants of course)

I'll make it down to PDX sometime and make time for you too. I was there for like 3 hours early October on a last minute whim cause I was nearby, but that's all I've managed since I think March. I'll let you know when I'll make it down again, but it might have to wait until after Winter unless I can get down there before the snow comes.

Got some baskets at goodwill today. Normally those kind are OUTRAGIOUSLY PRICED. They are the nice big wicker dark brown laundry baskets/hampers. I've been looking for a nice big one and totally scored because this one came with two more nestled inside of it. I always have tons of laundry so these will be a nice addition to our home. I'm putting one on Seans...

When people aren't here much, I always assume it's because they actually have lives. Glad you are feeling better.

I absolutely do not enjoy gatherings with bunches of people I do not know. And I've never been much for costumes, either. But, thanks!
