for better or worse everyone in town seems to be talking about American Dumpster. The clans in the band have been at war with eachother for months. I've been doing 3-4 shows a week. Recording everything. Being my own producer and engineer. working solo stuff late into the night and experimenting with sounds live every thursday.
bought a theramin and a tymani and a baritone horn.
We put on a couple smoking shows last weekend.
Uncle Charlie's Smoke House was off the chain. Drunken country folk fighting and hollerin before the first set followed by a barrage of musical enery....beutiful women clawing past shithoused revelers to sway at the front of the stage. At the end I get my gear loaded into the truck....steaming in the cold night...covered in sweat....an hour on a lonely highway with amps rattling in the back.
a sunny saturday found me planting vegetables. then there I am in Fellini's ....packed to the gills. Set up thje show on the floor with no room to think and finally the band is up and running. our reception was unreal. A huge dancing mob singing along and falling all over us clumsy couples chipping my teeth on my new vintage mike. a silver hammer busting lips through every song. I got up to my old tricks...giving out free T-shirts and hotpants to any fair lass that would try them on on spot. god bless girls gone wild for what it's done to the youth of the nation.
Such fun makes it that much harder to return to the backstage drama.
now it's time to hit the road.
Rehobith Beach this saturday night and baltimore next month.
