Today a friend of mine loss his life in Iraq,I feel guilty being home but I know there was nothing I could have done. He was an Army Medic and a nice guy. I already have trouble seeing his face. I know I liked him and we spent many a night playing spades, rummy etc. I try to see him when I close my eyes but nothing comes to mind. The War isn't over, why?
I truly believe we are "GOOD" and people want to be "GOOD" to one another, but how is it that so many of us become cold and loose our ability to empathise with one another.
A wise man once said "Evil is the absince of empathy."
I do not believe we are evil, we hurt our foe but I feel his pain. I do not want to see death nor do I wish to hear about it. Death is such a great loss and I cant help but cry.
