"You are alone?" Crete heard a voice crawl out of the dark of the corner of his living room. Somewhere hovering below visual perception. the voice did not sound human, in fact it sounded down right unwholesome to his ears. Who could that be, he thought to himself as he reached for the light switch. A burglar. A freind with a problem that made their voice sound as if they had gargled with razors. He flicked the switch on the wall and the front room of his apartment bellowed with light.
Crete felt the shriek rip from his lungs before he could stop it. "Shhh..." the thing before him said as its dripping lips curled into a savage grin. "Your neighbors will hear." He heard it chuckle. a foul sound like gas escaping a knife wound on a corpse. Crete looked at the creature in awe and fear. It looked almost human, though half of it's flesh in different areas of it's body had been stripped nearly to the bone.
It's eyes glowed a bluish white that seemed to penetrate him and set his every nerve ending to blaze. Its mouth was a tangle of long lance like teeth that bit through it's half eaten away lips in places. it was male he knew by the voice and stature, though all genetalia to show otherwise had seemed to be long since obliterated.
"Who are you." he stamered as he looked at the thing that was slowly making it's way across the room to stand next to his living room hallway He wanted to turn, just turn and run through the front door and away from this madness that faced him, but he couldn't. his legs were pillars of lead, and they simply wouldn't move. "What are you doing in my house?" these seemed to be logical questions to him, since no others would spring into his shocked brain.
"You know very well who i am." The creatures face twisted to anger for the breifest of seconds as it walked away from the ha;llway and slowly walked towards Crete. "You've called me all your life. you screamed my name a thousand times a day, and i want you to know. i heard you. i heard every thought, every whime. every savage story that you played out in your mind and told yourself would never come to fruition. oh yess....." the creature touched his cheek with it's crippled hand, letting it wetly slide down his cheek. "You know who i am."
Crete felt the creature entering into his face, first painfully, then with a sense of exhilliration as it merged with him. He felt himself becoming whole. becoming pure. within his mind a thousand insanities fumed like pages in an encyclopedia. Every concievable torturous urge he had, he new that now, he would make ready the waste he had so long for. As the creature melded with him he heard i's singular voice melt away as it aligned itself with his mind and soul. "I am you. now and forever, I am you."
After a few moments Crete felt his strength return to him with a renewed vigor he never truly knew he had. He walked into the bathroom and turned on his faucet, cupping his hands to the water and splashing it to his face. He raised his head to the mirror and looked at his features. nothing changed he thought to himself as he rubbed the hardwater out of his eyes. he turned out of the room and moved to go to his bedroom to retrieve the hand axe that he had hidden under his bed. He heard the door open and new that his lovey wife was home. she would be the first. he thought to himself as he smiled a smile of contentment.
