Lately I've been listening to a heaping helping of DeadBolt. I feel bad because I hadn't heard of this band before a few days ago, though they've been around for quite a while. At the same time, it's comforting to know that there will never be a shortage of great music to stumble across and enjoy for the first time.
What I like most about DeadBolt is that, though many of their songs have a tendency to sound an awful lot alike, there's also a great versatility in mood. The songs range from flat out hilarious to surprisingly touching with a lot of solid middle ground. A great sense of humor and a plethora of fairly obscure film and pop culture references are what keeps me thoroughly entertained.
