I went out and bought myself a pretty new lens. Oh yes, it's so pretty. It's also so popular that noone in the surrounding 3 cities had any in stock! I bought the floor model, for a small discounted price. Not a single mark on it, and wow does it take nice pictures.
I shoot Nikon and it has never betrayed me! I've stuck with it for years, and even bought a Nikon point and shoot! (Maybe not the best camera in it's class, but it was blue...)
So! I'm currently a poor student, so I am only shooting with a D50 and D40. The lens I bought is this gorgeous little thing:
Yes, you read that right - f/1.4
I have a shoot lined up for tomorrow (not Suicide, but I wish) and I plan to test this puppy out! It's an outdoor shoot, so I wont be able to test the low light functionality, but I will be able to get an insane amount of DOF. That's my favourite thing about photography, and I can't wait to get home to look at all the photos.
I was almost tempted to buy a reflector yesterday as well. I'll save that for Christmas. A mcgyver reflector made out of a giant foam core board works juuust fine.
Wish me luck!

If not, I'll make sure we find an amazing place, don't you worry.
