Well, it's not as if this is new material, I've been doing this work off an on for over a decade. But it's a contract job. a 5 year contract job (which I will probably be done with in under two years, depending on how Almalthia does on the GRE next year), so not a lot of room for professional development. But I am looking into taking some classes or acquiring some more certifications on my own time... the selling point of this gig is that it doesn't follow me home. M-F, 8-5, very little travel. after 3 years of long hauling it, I'm ready for a little "me time".
It is funny how certain days can have a hidden and forgotten meaning. I have been a little more down lately then usual. Well, many, many years ago my older brother died. Even though I don't mark the date anymore it seems to impact me all the same. He was my one and only brother. I really miss him.
