Since people have decided to argue over my choice to vote for Nader, I will address it here.
Someone cleverly pointed out that we don't even have a two party system and I agree. I think that both sides are equally corrupt and I want nothing with either.
I personally don't even agree with Nader. I don't think he'll make a good president. What he will do is get more votes than any other third party canidate. I think more people would vote third party if the felt they had a chance to win. So, I have decided to throw my considerably little weight to help add to the votes for the leading third party canidate. Maybe, if enough people do it, next time around even more will have the confidence to vote they way the feel, not for who they suppose will win. Every person who says "a vote for anyone other than Kerry is a vote for Bush", does nothing but convince me more that I am right. Reality or not, it continues to allow the kings to protect their kingdom. I want no part of it, and if I don't vote, I may as well vote for one of "them".
Maybe I am idealistic and maybe I'm stupid. At the end of the day, however, I will have done my part and stood by my beliefs. I can live with that.
