Jean Grey is finally back home, her ride height issues pretty much resolved. I drove her to work for the first time since the repairs were done and she rode really well. No more fear of suddenly veering off course every time I run over an ant. I still need to install the other shock but since temps are in the mid-nineties I think that can wait till this heat wave passes by. I'm just glad I got the car back and I can drive it now. Hopefully, she'll stay in drive able condition for the foreseeable future so that I can focus on my wife's car. That one has an oil leak somewhere that I have yet to find. She got the engine steam cleaned which should make it a lot easier now so I'm just going to have to crawl under there with a mining light and not stop until I know where it is. With any luck it's something I can fix like a leaky line or fitting and not the oil pan gasket.
The moving saga has taken a nasty turn. My credit is so bad that no bank will touch me, even with the backing of the VA. So now we're stuck trying to find an apartment we can afford which in this area is all but impossible. The way I see it until my wife starts earning some kind of income we're pretty much fucked. The docs don't want her working so that's not going to be easy. She's in the disability pipeline but she has to jump through more hoops than a circus monkey so its going to take some time. Sadly, time is a luxury we don't really have right now that the landlord is on the warpath. Keep your fingers and toes crossed kiddoes, its going to be a wild ride.
