One argument I can't seem to win is that it is better to have a loving, supportive relationship without bringing religion into it rather than an abusive, hateful relationship that goes on and on about Jesus and God's love. Children see through the bullshit, and if hypocrites want to talk a big loving religious game but not live examples of that life it does nothing to give the children "godly" examples. I don't want my son to get sucked in by a religion, but I will educate him and leave that choice up to him, rather than force my views down his throat. Its a personal choice, not a parent's choice on what a child should believe.
