now that the first week of september is over i can no longer deny that the month has, indeed, started and soon so will school. there are so many decisions to be made; in the next few weeks, will i ride my bike with my friends down to san diego or will i head to a cabin in california with my mom and my dog...

The world really is your oyster. Whatever you decide to do I'm sure will be the right decision. Life has a funny way of putting different paths at our feet. But you come to realize as you get older there really isn't any right path or wrong path to go down. You just got to choose which one would fulfill your needs the most. smile

Congratulations on your choice of profession, it's certainly not an easy one. As for the 3 mile hike if you are in good shape it will be no problem. In comparison when I was in marine combat training back in 89 one of our final tests was a 30 mile hike with full gear weighing at least 60 lbs if not more. Good luck on your continued training and I hope you pass. smile

Good luck on your pack test, I'm sure you'll do great. Wear good shoes, keep a steady pace, keep breathing strong and you'll make it no problem.

I lift my lids and all is born again.
