i fucking hate formal events! absolute bullshit conventionalism. fuck weddings. they are miserable. two people entering into an institution who care more about the presentation than each other. i've just ended my three year relationship with my girlfriend and hitch-hiked five hours because of a rediculous wedding. the people involved were young southern republicans. the ones that golf and wear khaki banana republic pants and...

nice point about weddings. my wife & i just threw our reception party (sort of a first anniversary gig) - and while you wants things to be NICE, it's hard to keep persepctive. the books, magazines you buy are pretty wild - they press you to turn attention to the *smallest details* ... it's an interesting industry. i think a great sociology book is just waiting to be written about the economics & methods of the wedding planning industry. we tried to focus on the big things: food, music, the stuff that matters to having a good time... but yea. it's a bit disheartening at times.

word to the lower-working class, hand-me-downs and modest (albeit appropriate) gatherings. glad you've escaped the world of buffy, mitsy and the racket club. avoid it like the plague.

a patient of ours died tonight.
they think it may have something to do with elevated troponin, that was evident in lab draws. it was very high.
i think it has something to do with overstimulation of the vagus complex or tenth cranial nerve. heres my rationalization which is probably way off. the lady's gastrointestinal functioning had been significantly reduced secondary to starvation due to...

i was completely wrong

the elevated troponin level indicates cardiac muscle damage, i.e. MI
in psych, typically cpk-mb is a more familiar assay, i.e. NMS

oooh yeah clinic is coming.

a neighbor wants to sell me her 1950 hammond chord organ for $100, i'm ambivilent as to whether i should buy it or not. i should really buy a moog considering i live in the same town as bob. plus i've always wanted one.

i feel like i'm lacking dynamic force in my personality today.

i totally wrote a toary last year about the NASA mission
that school kids do
called escape from Montseratt
they had to control the situation and save lives during some real volcano explosion that happened

in a way
le shok ended my magazine
damn them

burstandbloom:
i was doing this indie rock magazine
full size glossy thing

gettin printed up at this cheap place in middle ohio

Le SHok's label GSL took out an ad in the magazine
and it showed the cover of the album with the girl and the light socket between her legs

and the i sent it to press
and the printers freaked
apparently they were all right wing christian and thought the ad was evil and perverted and would run it
and i had already paid them
so i told them they had to fuking run it

then the printed it up
with a black censorship box over the ad
it was the dumbest thing i ever saw
anyway
i told the printer to fuck off

gave GSL their money back
handed out the magazines

but i never could find another quality printer for as cheap as that place

and i got a promotion and started being too busy at work
but thats how le shok helped to end my magazine
