So for anyone who has seen Rise of the Planet of the Apes (which I did actually enjoy overall) probably knows that Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is coming out soon. I'm looking forward to it, but...I dislike how they still haven't fixed the obvious problem with all the apes in the films!!
I'm pretty sure they didn't forget about this accidently...I'm sure they purposely chose not to include the obvious genitals of the apes. Why? Well probably because they were too afraid to display realistic, anatomically-correct apes with big testicles and swollen bottoms/vaginas?? ...which seems really stupid. If you can make documentaries about apes and show all that, then you should be able to show it in a movie...oh Hollywood :/
Why the rant? Eh...just because, and mainly because it distracts me from the reality of the apes in the films. I know it's all fantasy, but still...the natural elements of life shouldn't have to be censored. If the apes had testicles in the films, they probably could have used them to smack and beat the humans in the faces (if they were all the size of our friend's above) haha.
Also...has anyone else realized how the apes seem almost too tall to be taken seriously?? Especially Caesar's height...WTF!? And he looks the least realistic out of all the apes. Maurice the orangutan looked super realistic!! And Rocket was pretty sweet as well...no doubt modeled closely from this guy up above!
