Work is good but crazy this week. Getting tons of rare props from my bosses, mostly in response to manning the shop while they were checked out last week. Unfortunately these compliments come in the face of my coworker/friend getting ignored (while selling 3 projects, nonetheless) and numerous support staff getting screeched at. When not out at meetings, I've spent the day shut in my...

I was bummed, bummed, bummed that SG burlesque was cancelled on Monday. Should check the SGLA forum to find out why the f.

My best girlfriend and I went to a diner instead (one of the hipster-y diners that are so common in H-wood) and gobbled mac & cheese (me) and tuna melt (her). We gabbed about all manner of things... life, exams (her bf...

Going to Tokyo on Friday. Freaking the f out about it. First time; I am going on business. Should be honored (am). Should be excited (am, a little). Totally freaked out. Travel, new people, new environment, having to buy new clothes... all of these things hurt my head.

My coworker said I'd be fine, and among the reasons he listed is:

"You have excellent social...

Things that rot:
*bosses who play hooky while you're working
*work drinks you're not invited to even though you're the one who's doing all the work on the project

Work has been nuts. So has my personal life. I am trying to recover from both. I am trying to calm down a little and take things less seriously.

I have contracted a shitty cold/flu thing and crashed early tonight. Now I am awake, can't log onto sg chat, and my houseguest (the fabulous Stu, a college friend who's come to make it in the...

Up at 6 this morning. Waiting for the Rustic to open so I can get a bloody mary breakfast to cure what ails me... also wondering who to call for company at said breakfast. I've got a few options but honestly I miss my cousin, who was always good for all manner of getting up to no good. And the conversations rocked. I trusted his...

Things that Rock:

* Halloween parties.

* Flirting.

* The Nightmare Before Christmas, Frankenweenie, and Vincent

* Masters of Horror

* A sincere, kickass compliment from an unbelievably sexy woman.

* Getting hit on in a non-skeezy way:
Dude on Hwood Blvd: "Hey, girl with the awesome hair! Where you going, girl?"
Me, smiling: "Away."
Dude: "Well, can I go away with you?"

* People...

complete with prescription drinks, dirty nurses, hula hoop groovers, and techno belly dancers.

*Seeing a friend dance nude and do a damn good job of it...

Dream report....

1) Work/Horror: I dreamt last night that I was watching Wes Craven's new movie, which was a vampire musical. The vampires were singing and dancing and drinking blood in a huge gothic mausoleum, but more in a David Lynch way than in a Pippin way.

It was AWESOME. I could not wait to steal the screener copy I was watching and share it...
