It's a cold Sunday evening, and I'm wiped. I'm not really sure why, but there it is.
I bought an Xbox last week. This is a big thing for me because I think I used to be addicted to video games. I would come home from work, and play Doom or Quake from 6pm until 3am, and get up, go to work, and do it all over again. I've been able to play for a couple of hours and then stop, and pick it up the next day. I'm enjoying it, and it appears not to be taking over my life.
I don't have much to say now. I used to write a lot in college, until I transferred to a school with a writing program, and quickly decided I didn't want to be a writer...or at least major in Creative Writing. But I miss the putting thoughts to paper, and will be writing more, and more often. I don't have any thoughts that anyone else is going to read this, and I'm ok with that,

sometimes the cold is all it takes to wear you out.
I have had my share of video-game addicted friends in life thus far. They typically reach the point you're at - for one reason or another they quit playing, and when they pick it back up, they find they don't have as much time for it because they actually built a life outside of it. Good for you. Also, I'm a big fan of creative writing - even if no one ever sees it, sometimes it's nice to just throw some story or thoughts down on paper (or computer screen!) and see what comes of it. I am a huge English person though, words do it for me... not math or science or history. So I guess you have to love the written word. But, I've gotten many compliments on my past writing, just in the way I say things in my blog, evidently it inspires a few folks in some way or another... you really never know who you're going to reach. Don't count yourself out yet. Just don't be a site-creep and people will respond to you.
