the period at the end doesn't matter much but wouldn't leaving the comma out change the meaning of the phrase?

my french isn't good enough to read that but some sentences change meaning when you leave out the comma. (you could always do it without and tattoo the punctuation in afterwards if you miss it)

Computer geks cheat voting systems all the time by writing scripts to submit thousands of votes. They even write programs to dial the phone numbers on American Idol, and they figure out ways to not pay the toll charge on the phone calls involved... smile frown ooo aaa

i find it no different than any type of voting. anyone that has ever won class president (etc) won only by popularity. who ever voted for the treasurer that was actually good at math?
