...now, here I am, finally on suicide girls. I've known this site for quite a bit but with changing my career and having to pay school fees in Australia where I used to live, I was charged quite a large amount and it was impossible to even spare a few bucks a month in order to get on here.
But finally, after a lot of hard work of mixing bands for free, doing gigs wherever I could in Oz, doing very boring combat corporate sound, being a loader (you literally just load and unload trucks, get showcalls) and still doing my course, I got the chance to pick up work with the biggest and most famous sound company in the world- they do have a branch here in Basel, Switzerland, where I'm living at the moment, even though I'm never at home. Coming from buzzing Melbourne with its variety in foods, people, bars, clubs, music scenes and just great caffes, I find myself here in a town that's quite beautiful to look at but where cat and dog say goodnight to each other at 10 pm, snobs rule the clubs, skinny, perfect looking women sit in their business outfits and sip their cocktails and where you find grandma caffs en masse but nowhere to chill out and have a few teas or coffees for a few hours...
However, I re-found an old school-friend after ten years who moved to Basel as well and we get along as amazing as in school-times. Who would've known.
This month remains fairly quiet and there is haps of stuff to do in the shop (it's a huge warehouse where you repair and maintain sound gear), also meaning I'm stuck in Basel, but at the end of this month there's a Jazz festival to be done but that's yet another story to be told.
I'm happy to be here and wish you all an awesome day!
