I spent Labor Day weekend in Decatur/Atlanta at the Decatur book festival-went to some great readings (Poetry at Java Monkey, galleries, Charis, Gay in the South reading). I also went to the Civil Rights photojournalism exhibit at the High Museum-if you're in the area, definitely go for it. I also got a membership form for the Atlanta Writers' Club-I need a fresh pair of eyes to look at the short story I'm working on.
I wish I could move back;going to Decatur, it was like slipping into a normal routine.
Okay-I did apply at a library down there (fingers crossed).
Right now, I'm considering applying to Masters of Library Science Programs as well:
UT Austin
UNC-Chapel Hill
UCLA
UChicago Urbana Champaign

Yeah I've been to Little Five, I really like it. Loved Junkman's Daughter and Sevananda.
I went to the Book Festival too! Missed a lot of it with mandatory orientation activities, but I did a workshop with David Fulmer that was excellent.
