Here's a TBT to a session with Ashley last year. Isn't she stunning!?
I've shot with Ashley before but this was our first Glamour session together.
Being from a small town in the South, I don't get the volume of Boudoir/Glamour clientele that I'd love to book. Most small town women are still very conservative which makes them very shy when it comes to owning their sensuality and beauty.
This means I get alot of first timers! This is fun and a little bit empowering because I feel like I sort of help them embrace their femininity and gain confidence in themselves with their sexiness!
Ashley definitely was not shy, as specially for it being her first Boudoir, but most of my clients are VERY shy their first session. Seeing them break out of that shell gradually during their shoot then feeling beautiful and sexy at the end is a very rewarding part of being a photographer.
One of the things I love about SG is how models pave the way for women of all shapes, sizes and diversity to aspire to be strong, embrace their beauty and not be afraid of being sexy.
Women constantly battle with insecurities and imperfections that challenge their sense of self worth. Seeing such a vast community of women who embrace who they are and overcome struggles, that we all inherently seem to have in common, is inspirational and stirs us to remember WE ARE BEAUTIFUL!
If you struggle with being shy due to insecurities always remember, we are all perfect. Own that and rock it because we are all a little SG at heart.
