Hello, SGLand! Hello @rambo @missy @sean !
The best gifts I've ever received were my cats!
Gisele (the one on the window) was abandoned when she was 6 months old. She was young, small, and cute. She used to live nearby my house, on the streets. Every morning she greeted me in front of my house, and waited with me for my bus to arrive. I tried to convince my mom to adopt her, but my parents didn't like cats at that time (they've never had a cat before). Gisele tried to enter my house several times until mom finally allowed her to stay during the day, as a guest, but she would have to leave by night. Once, Gisele invaded my our house late at nigh, going through a window that was too high (I don't know how she'd survived!), and that was when mom finally accepted Gisele was ours. That was 8 years ago. She's my first born kitty, my baby girl, the love of my life!
Odin (the other one on the bed) was adopted from an NGO called 'Adote Um Gatinho' (Adopt a Kitty), which is very famous here in Sao Paulo/Brazil, 7 years ago, and I was living by myself with Gisele. Gisele was very sad to be alone in our apartment, so I'd to adopt a brother to keep her company. He's my baby boy, my sugar, my starlight!
We have moved several times together, and then my mom got sick and I had to take care of her, we were back on my parents' house. They're both very loved, and spoiled by grandma and grandpa. They're the best cats ever, my best gifts. I love them to the moon and back.
