What's one assumption others make about you that you wish you could dispel?
Honestly, I don't care what people think of me. If they want to make assumptions about me without knowing me etc then they can. I'm not going to go out of my way to change someone's mind about me. If they really want to know what I'm about then they can ask me.
I know the girls I work with (yes, girls, most are younger than me) have their assumptions but oh well. I'm not there to be their friend or enemy. I'm there to work and take care of my people.
In middle and high school I was always quiet and mostly a loner. I was bullied every day. Nothing crazy like kids do these days thankfully. I always had my guard up. One day, I was walking home from middle school with my sister and a couple of her friends. They were talking and I don't recall exactly what happened but one of the guys said "you're not as big of a bitch as I thought you were". DUH. No one talked to me enough to get to know me and I didn't waste my time dealing with idiots.
For some reason, in high school, people thought that me and my best friend (at the time) were lesbians. Only because we always hung out together. Uh, hello... She's my best friend, not my girlfriend. She was PISSED but I had gotten used to all the bullshit so it wasn't a big deal to me. I just didn't care.
I still don't care. I'm me. Get to know me or don't. I don't chase people. 💯 lol
