a pic like this of *you* would have been a treat...but this is definitely the right mood! wink
likewise, let's see about arranging that.
hope you had a nice Christmas and are having a nice snowstorm!

You are one of very, very few people who will ever utter the phrase, "I love the Eddas."

My summer hibernation is over, as is my time in my lovely building. At the end of this month I'm moving, yet again, this time to Queens. I'd be a lot more bummed about my current roommate getting married and needing me to leave if I hadn't found an amazing roommate.love I can't say enough good things about her.

Yesterday I saw two of...

If this is true, I want one. I've always loved being with guys that cook, but I wonder if there's a male equivalent to vacuuming in pearls and stilettos? We need a sexier version of Mr. Mom. I mean, Michael Keaton has his moments but imagine someone like Daniel Craig or Clive Owen hanging your lacy things up to dry in the shower after washing...

I like to Swiffer the apartment in Underoos and a gold rope chain.

The article mentioned younger men, not older men! But that way I would still stand a chance... Well, I would have to shape up a lot. LOL!

Valentine's Day was one of the best in recent memory. These are some reasons why:

-It began with a gardenia-scented bubble bath and the latest Book Forum, which included reviews by two of my favorite writers, Mary Gaitskill & Aleksandar Hemon.

-Endless brunch and juicy gossip with mellythepirate, who's cute as pie. We went to Fig & Olive, where we had poached eggs w/asparagus,...

June was full of rain, celebrity death, and doctor's appointments. I didn't finish any books, didn't have enough sex, and didn't really get much done in general. I'm hoping July has better things in store. Specifically: a lot more sex (but just as hot, please-I'm not about sacrificing quality for quantity), a lot more art, and movies.

My doctor says my hormone levels are off...

I had a lovely romantic weekend in VA. The trip down was not romantic (buses can't be, no matter what I've said before) but happily was cut short when the boy picked me up in Baltimore, where he happened to be at the same time I was because he had to drive his mom home after she visited him. So, instead of getting into town...

I wrote, on paper, for a long time on Sunday in a cafe with my friend, and it was satisfying. We wandered around the East Village, had cupcakes (I know, I do that every weekend now, apparently), went to Babeland, and ended our day with a good little buzz from our favorite margaritas. I spoke to the Brazilian ex that I really should forget about,...

So, my landlady's son goes to the school here in Queens where there have been 8 confirmed cases of swine flu. So far he feels fine and his school's closed, of course, but I wasn't aware of any of this until I saw it on the news tonight. I got this funny feeling when they mentioned a high school in Queens, and when I...

I'm currently in love with:
-Ira Glass
-David Strathairn
-the Upper East Side (for the big luscious tulips everywhere, blossoming trees, handsome buildings, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and for pets whose lives are more luxurious than those of many people)
-the scent of my new shampoo and conditioner (coconut-y)
-working out to Radiohead and RJD2
-cold apples
-Salman Rushdie

I'm thoroughly disenchanted with:
-pizza...

One more item to add to my neverending travel wishlist: I want to go ride Icelandic ponies in the Vermont countryside. This farm looks like so much fun. I'm sure it'd be amazing in the fall. I remember how sore I used to be after the day-long trail rides I used to go on when I was a teenager, but I think the smaller size...
